Aims of The Society

The Midland Gundog Society aims to encourage the training of retrievers in the field. To this end it organizes Novice and Open (qualifying) Field Trials, Working Tests and training classes for A.V. Retrievers. Training classes are mainly held at Packington Park, near Meriden, Warwickshire.

Midland Gundog Society

Midland Gundog Society Committee would like to announce that we are endeavouring to organise three Field Trials for our members this season (subject to Kennel Club agreement):

26 October 2020 One day Open Stake at Packington Estate, Meriden

27 October 2020 All Aged Stake at Packington Estate, Meriden

8 December 2020 Novice Stake at Bitterley Lodge, Ludlow

Entries will be taken on FTMS and it has been decided by the Committee that due to present circumstances, we will not charge an admin. fee this year in case we are forced to cancel the trials at a later date.

The schedules will be sent out to members shortly.

The committee recognises that the situation is changing constantly, and we are sure that the members understand that things might change.

Award winners and judges of the MGS 2 day open trial held at the Packington Estate, Meriden by kind permission of Lord and Lady Guernsey

We hope you enjoy visiting our site and we look forward to welcoming you at one of our events.
