Membership fees are £10 single and £12 joint. In addition there is a joining fee of £5. Junior membership (under 16s) is free. Overseas members who receive correspondence by email £10. Overseas postal membership: £19 with a joining fee of £8Membership subscriptions fall due on 1st January each year, or immediately on joining the society. Membership of those members whose subscriptions have not been paid by March 31st will be deemed as lapsed and upon re-joining, the joining fee will have to be paid again as well as yearly subs. Members submitting an application to compete in field trials are entered into a draw to select runners.  For full details see the society rules.

Members increasingly find it convenient to pay their annual subscription by standing order. Where this is the case the standing order should be set up to make payment on the 1st January or following banking day. It greatly helps us to recognise each payment if members use their post code as the payment reference on the standing order.

The standing order should be made payable to Midland Gundog Society - account details can be obtained from the membership secretary upon approval of membership.

If you bank online it should be straightforward to set up or change a standing order using the above information. If you prefer to issue instructions to your bank in person or by post then please print and use this form.

Overseas members can make payments to the MGS account using IBAN GB52NWBK53613104407490, BIC (also known as SWIFT) NWBKGB2L.

Use of e-mail to contain costs

Like all societies, the cost of postage is becoming a more significant proportion of our expenditure. We would like to move towards providing information by e-mail to help us to contain these costs. To do this we need to build up a register of members' e-mail addresses. Your e-mail address will only be used for sending you society information. It will not be used for any other purpose and it will not be passed to any third party.

If you wish to have your email address removed from our database please advise accordingly by sending an email to membershipmgs@gmail.com

Public liability insurance

The society has in place public liability insurance from NFU Mutual. The policy does not cover the society for any gun related incident and accordingly the society requires that all guns have their own insurance in place.
